Quickwrite: "She Touched The Box in Her Pocket and Smiled..."

Hey everyone! Today I am using one of the quickwrites from my English class today. I'm basically adding to the story in the books, "Trickster's Choice" and "Trickster's Queen" by Tamora Pierce.I hope you like it. I hope you guys had a great New Year!

She touched the box in her pocket and smiled. It reminds her of her parents who are in the country of Tortall. They live in Pirate's Swoop. Her parents are George Cooper, King of Pirate's Swoop and Spymaster, and Alanna The Lioness, the Queen of Tortall's Knight. They gave her a pendant when she was little, but can no longer fit it. She keeps it with her at all times. Her name is Alianne Homewood of Pirate's Swoop, but everyone calls her Aly. She was accidentally sold as a slave at the age of 16. She was in a fight with her parents about what she wanted to do with her life.

She wanted to be a spy like her dad, but he won't send her out to the field no matter how good she is at it. He's afraid to lose his only daughter. Her mom wants her to be a knight like her. She was tired of it, so she left in her boat so her parents would calm down a bit. She left a note telling them where she was going and left. When she left, she got caught in a big wind trying to escape from pirates, but they caught her. She prayed to the god, hoping to get a nice family and got it, but she had to wager with the Trickster god, Kyprioth, that she could protect the children of the noble family, the Balitang family, by the summer and he will take her back home to convince her father to let her be a spy.

Kyprioth brought in some crows for her to help. She has learned how to communicate with them. They, if they choose to, can turn into humans. One of them, Nawat, has stolen her heart, even though she refuses to admit it because he is around 18 or 19 years old in human years, but around 2 or 3 years old in crow years, so he doesn't know any better. He one day came up to her and kissed her after watching Sarai, one of the daughters she must protect, was making out with the prince, Bronau, by the fountain. Aly, Nawat, and Sarai's younger sister, Dove, were spying on her because they believe he is a bad man and they're right. He is the type of man who is hungry for power. He will do anything to get it, he would even marry Sarai just to take the thrown.
